Checkmate

Checkmate is when the king is in check and there is no legal move to escape.
It means the game is over, and the player whose king is checkmated loses the game.
To deliver checkmate, you must trap the king using your pieces so it cannot move, block, or capture to get out of check.
Fun Fact: The word "checkmate" comes from the Persian phrase "Shah Mat," which means "the king is helpless."
